| Infiltration bid foiled, 2 terrorists killed | | | Early Times Reporter
Srinagar | June 21
Two militants making an infiltration bid were gunned down by security forces near the India-Pakistan border in north Kashmir's Kupwara district early on Saturday.
Police said the security forces early morning intercepted and challenged a group of heavily armed infiltrators in Gagaldara village near the Line of Control (LoC).
"The militants were intercepted immediately after they infiltrated to this side, resulting in a fierce gunfight at the end of which two militants were killed. The search operation in the area is still continuing," a police officer said here. Arms and ammunition were recovered from the shootout site, the police claimed. |
