| PDP launches its election campaign from Suchetgarh | | | Early Times Reporter

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today organized a public meeting at Suchetgarh to kick off election campaign from this area.
All senior leaders of the party attended the meeting and exhorted the people to give PDP one more chance to fulfill the pro-people agenda of the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa said that it was all due to the sincere efforts of PDP leadership that sustainable peace has been established on the borders. "Mufti Mohammad Sayeed through his policy has convinced both India and Pakistan to announce ceasefire which led to permanent truce on border", he said.
Highlighting achievements of PDP led coalition regime, Bajwa said that party has formulated a comprehensive policy for rural people. He especially mentioned that selling of Basmati to other states was opened in the rule of PDP.
Speaking on the occasion vice president, Ved Mahajan cautioned the people against malicious campaign launched by some vested interests against the party.
"Policies being propagated by the PDP, for restoring peace, have been endorsed at national and international forums", he said and termed Mufti Mohammed Sayeed as a crusader of peace. He said it was high time to strengthen the hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti for restoring lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Party general secretary Daman Bhasin also cautioned people against those who have been exploiting sentiments of the people adding that Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through a crucial phase and it was high time to strengthen PDP.
Pointing towards achievements of the first three years of the coalition regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, he said Sayeed as Chief Minister of the State had taken many radical steps for the development of the State.
In her address party secretary Renu Azad said that first time in the history equal distribution of funds were made for Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. She said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has set an example of good governance.
Urging the people to strengthen PDP, she said that only this party can provide justice with all regions and sub-regions of the State. "Previous regimes of National Conference discriminated with many regions and sub-regions and it was all due to the visionary thinking of Sayeed that these discriminations were removed.
Zone president Choudhary Chuni Lal and other leaders also addressed the meeting. |
