DPS Jammu organizes workshop for Teachers

Jammu, Nov 30: Delhi Public School, Jammu organized an ELT Workshop for English Teachers teaching classes Pre-Primary to XII on Saturday.
The resource person was Kavita Iyer introduced varied techniques to be embedded for making the teaching-learning process more productive. The workshop focussed on developing receptive and productive skills amongst learners and teaching grammar meaningfully by contextualizing and incorporating task based activities.
The resource person emphasized on the need to inculcate blended strategies like 4 C's (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication) and 21st century skills like technology , media & information literacy for promoting quality learning of a language. She exemplified how this would help the teachers to divert the learners towards guided discovery and joyful learning of diverse aspects of English language. The Principal, DPS Jammu Ruchi Chabra thanked the resource person and expressed the need for educators to be apprised of the new pedagogical strategies which would help them promote effective and innovative learning within classrooms. The Headmistress, Meenu Gupta too appreciated the rich contribution made in Teachers' learning.
The resource person was presented a memento as a token of love and appreciation by Chief Coordinator, Umesh Sharma. The program came to an end with the instrumental National Anthem followed by a group photograph. President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi extended their best wishes to the teachers for organizing such a fruitful workshop.
