| Inter-district kabaddi competitions begin | | | Early Times Reporter

Director General Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), P S Gill today declared open the two-day divisional level inter-district kabaddi competitions in both boys and girls sections at Youth Hostel Nagrota, near here.
On the opening day of the two-day competitions, Kathua and Udhampur districts made it into the final of both boys and girls under-14 year.
Earlier, chief guest, P S Gill was introduced with the participating teams by the officers of DYSS including Assistant Director, Ashok Kumar and district officer Jammu, Jai Raj.
Speaking to the participants from different districts of Jammu Province, the Director General made the young players aware of how sports help in developing overall personality through interactions and spirit of competition.
The students of National Public School, Miran Sahib presented guard of honour to the chief guest.
Among others present in the inaugural function were Inderjeet Kour, district officer Kathua, Sudesh Chib, R C Vaid, Jeet Singh, Raj Kumar, Chanchal Kour, Veena Tikoo and Ramesh Pandita.

Kabaddi boys U-14: Kathua bt Kishtwar 77-26; Udhampur bt Reasi 48-21; Poonch bt Jammu 36-24.
Kabaddi girls U-14: Reasi bt Poonch 50-15; Kathua bt Jammu 59-38. |
