| Soz plans a rehash of Congress in State | | | Early Times Reporter

Pradesh Congress Committee in Jammu and Kashmir would be reconstituted shortly, according to party sources. The sources said that the PCC President, Saifuddin Soz, has planned to reconstitute the Pradesh Congress committee in the first week of the current month but his plan could not fructify because he could not discuss the matter with Chief Minister,Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Soz is keen to consult the Chief Minister on the matter so that there was no misunderstanding between the two. Sources said that Soz after finalizing the list is likely to discuss it with the party high command so that his selection has the seal of the Congress high command.
According to these sources, it was going to be cosmetic reconstitution of the PCC as neither Prof. Soz nor Ghulam Nabi Azad is in favour of leaving any room for the dissidents to cry foul against the new committee.In case certain developments and engagements keep both Soz and Azad busy thereby delaying talks on the reconstitution of the PCC the matter may be shelved for another month or so.However,Soz is keen to see his announcement,made in Jammu over a month ago,gets implemented so that he could induct a couple of dynamic congressmen in the PCC for making the party strong enough to garner voters support. |
