| Dera protests reach Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 21 Joining their counterparts in Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra, the Sikhs in Jammu today spilled over roads to protest the gunning down of a Sikh allegedly by the bodyguard of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in Mumbai. Protestors burnt an effigy of the Dera Chief, blocked movement of buses and other vehicles and held protest demonstrations at some places demanding action against him and withdrawal of his Z category security. Large number of Sikh youth in Jammu joined nation wide protest against the Dera Sacha Suada chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim and demanded his arrest in a firing incident in Mumbai suburb leading to death of one of the Sikh. The protestors were led by Harjeet Singh. The protestors blocked traffic near Satwari for some time and also burnt down effigy of dera chief .The angry sikh youth brandishing naked swords were seen near busy Satwari crossing. Tyres were also burnt down amid slogan shouting against dera chief. The protestors were demanding severe punishment against the bodyguard of Dera chief Baba Ram Rahim who opened fire during the clash at the mall. |
