Jammu Dec 3: In a major success on terror front, Kishtwar Police alongwith 17RR & troops of 52 CRPF apprehend one terrorist namely Tariq Hussain Wani S/O Mohd Amin Wani R/O Wani Mohalla Sounder Dachhan, who was missing since 14.11.2019 alongwith 303 Rifle, one Magzine, 64 live cartages and 11 charger clips from Ikhala Plamar.
As per the details available with Early Times, a cordon was launched in the general area of Ikhala forest some 65 KM from Kishtwar by the joint parties at 10 pm on 02-12-2019.
On the search of the area the terrorist was arrested from a temporary hideout alongwith with arms and ammunition. The terrorist had a gunshot in his left foot and was immediately rushed to the District Hospital Kishtwar for treatment. On this A case FIR No. 268/2019 stands registered in P/S Kishtwar under section 7/25 IA Act, 18,20,23,38,39/ULA.
The terrorist received gun shots from his own weapon while trying to escape from the spot with his loaded weapon after he fail to control over it.
When contacted SSP Kishtwar Dr. Harmeet Singh Mehta confirm the apprehension of the Hizbul terrorist to Early Times added that investigation has been set into motion to further ascertain his links and the sources of the weapon in possession of the arrested terrorist. He also complimented the troops involved in successful operation that lead to arrest of the Hizbul terrorist from Dachhan. |
