Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 22 MLC, Ashok Sharma has demanded six month free ration and cash relief to peoples whose standing crops, agriculture land and houses have been damaged due to recent heavy rains burst and floods in various areas of Kalakote in Rajouri district. As per release, Sharma urged for conducting a special girdawari to assess the damage and provide relief accordingly. He said the worst affected areas are nara-Majra, Saroh, Breavi, Dhulari, Kallar, Hari Chumma, Bhalwal, Chumma, Methani, Gallan and mangaal and pleaded for introduction of crop insurance scheme in all areas of the state to cover agriculture and allied sectors. He said by this, villagers will compensation etc. During his visit of the affected areas Sharma also inspected various developmental works being executed in Kalakote constituency under his constituency development. He also participated in a meeting of the friends club-India at Sunderbani in which ways and means were discussed for strengthening panchayati raj system at the gross roots level in the state. Sharma was accompanied by Raj Kumar, Kesar Din, Soba Ram, Lalman, Mohd. Yousif, Hans Raj, Sham Lal, Dev Raj, Bodh Raj, Subash Chander, Mani Ram, and Prem Nath Shah. |
