| Togadia says, Baig is ‘Jehadi’ sans AK 47 | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 22 As the controversy over transfer of forest land to the Shrine Amarnath Shrine Board blows out into a fully drawn communal tangle, the firebrand Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Parveen Togadia today touched down here calling summary execution of separatist and all other leaders supporting the separatist agenda. The VHP leader minced no words in brandishing the Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig as ‘Jehadi’ and said that such people should be hanged in public for their activities threatening the national security. Describing Baig as a ‘Jehadi’ without AK 47 (assault rifle) in his hands, Togadia in his typical style lashed out at the Deputy Chief Minister accusing him of hurting the Hindu sentiments. “The Peoples Democratic Party and some other organizations are playing vote bank politics by hurting the Hindu sentiments”, said Todagia addressing a gathering of the VHP activists. Togadia said the forest land do not belong to PDP leaders and they should not raise their voice to protest the transfer of land as the state cabinet has decided to divert the land to the Shrine board for constructing pre fabricated huts and other facilities for the pilgrims undertaking pilgrimage under hostile weather conditions. Togadia also questioned the Congress leadership for remaining mute spectators and extending support to the PDP by backing their malicious campaign against the shrine board.Lashing out at the Congress led UPA government Togadia said guardians of Mohd Afzal Guru are ruling the country and under their regime the terrorists are spreading their tentacles across India.Togadia also advocated the need to grant special powers to the Kashmir police on the lines of Indian army to deal with mencae of terrorism in the state. Considering necessary to have 'death sentence' for those preaching, learning and practicing Jehad in the country, Tagodia stated that activities of these militant groups have not only restricted up to Jammu and Kashmir but also extended through out the country. "Do not dream of changing Jammu and Kashmir in to Islamic state and be sure that Lahore will be a part of India one day" Tagodia said in a message to fundamental groups indulging in fighting for freedom struggle in the state. Both state and centre failed in tackling militant activities in the state and it must be very difficult for them to eradicate militants from the region unless and until reins of the state would be handed over a man like K P S Gill, he said. "If center government attitude towards militants remained the same as in past, then days are no far away when eighty five crore Hindus will come on roads to ensure their own safety by fighting militants AK 47 and AK 57 with stones and bricks, which is a sufficient ammunition for us to finish them" confident VHP international general secretary said. |
