| NC responsible for killing of Mukerjee: BJP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 23 Accusing National Conference of killing Shama Prasad Mukerjee for defying obnoxious permit system, Bhartia Janta Party has warned National Conference against rousing popular passions in Kashmir over the ongoing Amar Nath Yatra. In a press statement issued here on Monday, President BJP, Ashok Khajuria alleged that NC patron Farooq Abdullah of resorting to politics of double speak and deceit for his political gains and miseries of the common man. "Farooq and Mufti are chips of the same block indulging in opportunistic politics for their personal gains," he said and added that NC was the same party which is responsible for the killing of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who defied the obnoxious permit system in May 1953 and laid down his life for the cause of the nation. Terming Dr. Farooq Abdullah as a fair weather cock, Ashok Khajuria said that he supported the decision of the cabinet to transfer 800 kanals of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), but took a complete U-turn a day later in Kashmir saying if the NC would come to power, it would not only withdraw the cabinet decision but would also thrown behind the bars who took the decision. Ashok Khajuria said that the people of the state in general and those in Jammu in particular have already seen through the dubious game plan of the NC and that they are determined to make NC and the PDP to bite dust. He pledged that the BJP would under no situation allow the Congress, the PDP and the NC to vitiate the Amarnath yatra and that the BJP cadres, who are already seething with anger, would come on the roads to defeat the nefarious gameplan of all these pseudo secular parties, which are no different from the fundamentalist and separatist organizations. |
