| Coalition ignoring NC’s constituencies: Javid Rana | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 23 MLA Mendhar Javid Rana today accused coalition government for ignoring NC MLAs constituencies in development works besides not providing funds to the other elected MLAs of his party under fast track programme for important projects of their respective Assembly segments. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Rana expressed serious concern over the dilly delaying tactics of the district administration for not starting approved works in the constituencies represented by MLA's belonging to national conference. He also flayed the government for ignoring NC MLA's recommendations regarding undertaking of important projects in the state besides providing no funds to them under fast track programme for various development works. "There are several projects which were started but languishing for want of funds for which demands were raised on the floor of the house and other forms but nothing happened till date", he said. He further said that despite crores of rupees released for work on Suran Mehander and Saki Maidan roads but no work has been executed on these projects yet. Rana also demanded compensation for affected people of Mendhar constituency whose crops, houses and other properties were damaged in recent floods and heavy rainfall. Moreover, he demanded separate parliamentary constituency to be carved out from twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri, completion of Purnai Hydel projects, separate Medical College for twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch and increase in number of BPL families. |
