| Army organizes Dog show | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 23 An Army Dog show was organized by the highly specialized Army Dogs of RVC Centre and College, Meerut Cantt at Trikuta Officers Institute of the White Knight Corps. The team of Army Dogs and their trainers gave a magnificent demonstration of their skills which was highly applauded by the audience. The display of dog show included obedience drill, marching of dogs in synchronization, demonstration of mines/explosive detection and practical utility of dogs for tracker and guard duties. Army in the past has utilized the natural gifts of dogs with their enhanced sense of smell, hearing and sight, to carry out specific tasks during war and in the Counter Insurgency environment. The dogs have been a force multiplier for the smooth conduct of operations and have played very important roles in the past for the Armed Forces. |
