Jammu, Dec 9: Channi Himmat Police booked an Stalker for chasing a woman on Narwal bypass road last night, on the basis of a complaint made by the woman on Police Helpline number 100.
According to Police Spokesperson, in an initiative of District Police in Crime against Women yesterday night a lady caller informed that a white car bearing no. JK21C 2356 was following her and chased her from Radisson Blue hotel where she was waiting for someone.
"The lady who was driving her car called at 100 and gave her location-Channi Himmat. The Women police helpline reached the spot within 8 minutes and later SHO Channi Himmat traced out the details of the car owner as Raj Kumar Balotra resident of 119 Ward no. 1 Bari Brahmana. In this context, the said person was called at PS Channi Himmat and was booked u/s 107,117 CrPc", the spokesperson said, adding that the lady caller later on informed PCR that she has reached home safely.
