PLS conducts Kavi Darbar in fortnightly literary meet

Jammu, Dec 9: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu on Sunday conducted a fortnightly literary meeting at Tagore Public Hr. Secondary School, Rani Talab, Digiana, Jammu. S. Ichhupal Singh, former Editor, Sheeraza Punjabi & a well known Punjabi writer presided over the meeting. Poets and writers of Punjabi attended the literary meeting and presented their creations. Dr. Monojit, President, PLS- J welcomed the poets and writers who attended the meeting. He expected all the members and executive members to extend their full support to run the activities of PLS- J during his second tenure as President of PLS- J. A Kavi Darbar was conducted during the meeting. Poets Pyasa Anjum, Dr. Monojit, Dr. Vinod Nirmal, Rajpaul Singh Mastana, Harjeet Uppal, Kulwant Singh, Harbhajan Singh Upasak, Jang S. Verman, Manjeet Singh Kaamra, Amar Singh Kuka and Ichhupal Singh. S. Pritam Singh Anjaan read out an essay on current affairs and Hardeep Singh Deep also shared their views on this occasion. Dr. Monojit , president appointed Jang S. Verman, as Press Secretary, Dr. Baljit Raina as General secretary and S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik as treasurer of PLS, J for the next term. In his presidential address S. Ichhupal Singh congratulated the newly elected or appointed office bearers of the Sabha. He said that more writers should come forward to promote their mother tongues spoken in this region.
