| Jat Kalyan Sabha organizes ‘chetna’ camp | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 23 Jat Kalyan Sabha organized a day long ‘chetna’ camp under the chairmanship of working president Sardari Lal Choudhary at Chengia in Bishnah to impress upon the govt. to concede the demand of the community to grant OBC status. While addressing Sardari reiterated that the community has lagged behind in all spheres of life. The statistics of backwardness has already been submitted by the concerned tehsildars to the govt. He said there is not even a single IAS, IPS, IRS, KAS and officers of KPS of the community in the state administration. The community which was making its livelihood by the meager land holding has been deprived of the same due to repeated division of land. Now in order to earn their livelihood, the youths have to work in commercial mandies or other unskilled manual labour and such it is to grant OBC status immediately. He also appealed to the community to remain united under the banner of Jat Kalyan Sabha and get ready for decisive struggle to be launched very shortly. He warned the govt. to desist from delaying tactic politics and help this community to overcome extreme backwardness by granting OBC status. He also warned that the community has pledged to oust the present govt. if they don’t concede the demand. In the 1st instance he requested the so called leaders of the community to awake from sleep and openly come out in support of the demand. JATs who are feeding the whole nation and guarding the even vulnerable borders of the country have not been given the honor they deserve by the government. He said and guarding the borders Sardari said, in the present era of progressive without election is a important part. It is duty of the govt. and constitutional right of the community that they should be placed in OBC category as in other states of the Indian union. Prominent among who address the gathering were Ch. Jasbir Singh, Ch. Dewan Singh, Ch. Chain Singh, Ch. Mohinder Singh, Ch. Yashpal Singh, Ch. Balbir, Master Bachan Lal, Ch. Natha Ram, Ch. Gridhari Lal, Ch. Kamal, Ch. Janak, Ch. Butta, Ch. Bishen Dev, Ch. Mohan Chand, Ch.Dwarka Ji and Ch.Rattan. |
