| NCP launches membership drive in border towns | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 23 A large number of political activists youth and women joined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) at Nandpur a border town in district Samba today. Among them was Sudershan Kumar Chaudhary grandson of ex. MLA Late Chajju Ram who had represented Chammb constituency twice in the state Assembly. Welcoming the new entrants in the party fold, state chief of NCP, Thakur Randhir Singh asked them to get common masses of their particular areas aware about the programmes and policies of the NCP which are people oriented, and expose corrupt ministers and legislatures. He said party has launched membership drive in border towns of Jammu, which include Nandpur and Ramgarh. Randhir also said that Congress led coalition govt. has miserably failed to in implementing Rs 100 Cr technology mission to boost the horticulture and agriculture sector in the state, beside other poverty elevation programmes. He said un-employment among the educated youth has touched alarming rate. Among others who spoke on the occasion were Ashok Jain, Mohinder Singh, Thakur Sham Gorakh, J.A.Khan, Sham Lal, Gurdip Singh Mottan amnd Ankush Pandita. |
