DDC reviews progress of developmental projects at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 12: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting with officers of different departments to review the progress of roads, buildings, bridges and other ongoing developmental works of different departments under taken by R&B under District Plan, State plan, CRF, NABARD and Languishing projects in the District.

Executive Engineer PWD, Ajay Kumar Raju gave scheme wise PowerPoint presentation of ongoing projects like roads, buildings and bridges in Health, Education, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Agriculture and Horticulture sector.

Threadbare discussions were held on various Centrally sponsored & State Schemes under District Capex Budget 2019-20 regarding status of tendering, allotments, bills drawn for the work done claims of the approved works, timeline for completion, State Capex Budget/NABARD schemes 2019-20, status of CRF schemes and status of work of others departments, approved languishing projects, status of languishing project and timelines for their completion,

While reviewing the scheme wise progress of various departments DDC asked the PWD departments to expedite the process of ongoing developmental projects and complete these projects within given time frame.

DDC directed the concerned officers to take effective steps for timely completion of these projects on a mission mode for maximum results on the ground.

Chief Education Officer was directed to conduct field visits and submit status of construction progress of ongoing works of education department.

DDC Udhampur stressed upon all the concerned Officers to gear up the process for completion of targets and utilization of 100 % funds well before the end of financial 2019-20. He asked the Executive Engineer of PWD to executive work in coordination with other line departments for expediting the construction of roads and buildings on fast track. DDC expressed concern over delay in various works which leads to cost escalation.

Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner Ashok Kumar, Chief Planning Officer Rajeev Bhushan, Chief Horticulture Officer Brij Vallabh Gupta and other officers of different departments were present in the meeting.
