Jammu | June 23
Kuldeep Raina, general secretary Panun Kashmir has strongly criticized the state government in getting forms filled by Kashmiri Pandits under compulsion for return to valley.
As per a press statement, Raina said, circulation of some unclaimed and unnamed forms by the relief commissioner seems to be motivated by sinister designs to confuse the internally displaced Hindus. The type of information sought through the filling of these forms from Kashmiri Pandits is yet another insult heaped on the displaced Hindus by the apathetic government which continues to hold the view that the displacement is a voluntary phenomenon. He said the contents of the form reveal that even 18 years after the displacement the state government seeks information from the displaced Hindus which is elementary for any government handling internal displacement.
“Doesn’t the government have the data about the damage and destruction of Hindu properties in the valley even after such a long time? Does not the government have statics of unemployment? How many times have the Kashmiri Pandits to fill up –D –forms and sign documents which have no purpose?”
Raina said the contents of the forms circulated clearly indicate that the government is seeking information in a selective manner so that it can prove that the displacement has been voluntary phenomenon and the distress sales which took place is a myth.
Panun Kashmir urges everybody to take no cognizance of the circulation of these forms because the existence of more than 13 thousand similar forms which were filled up during NC regime is being disowned by the government itself.
He said Panun Kashmir also clearly holds the view that return of Kashmiri. Hindus will not place through filling up of forms but holding the communal forces in the state particularly in Kashmir valley accountable and brought to justice, security salutation is so fast deteriorating that these are threats of terrorist attack on the displaced camps which have been already put under security cover.
The statements of Muslim leaders in the valley on Amarnath yatra speak volumes about the vicious communalism being preached in the valley.
Panun Kashmir once again urges the government to stop abetting the genocide and desist from conducting campaigns like circulation of these forms in contention which cause only confusion and psychological trauma.
