Even for BJP, VHP words PDP blames Raj Bhawan

Jammu | June 23
In yet another tirade against the outgoing Governor Lt Gen SK Sinha, the Peoples Democratic Party today alleged that the Raj Bhawan is supporting the ‘Hindutva’ organizations like BJP and VHP to communalize the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The VHP has on Sunday described the Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig as Jehadi spread terror through thoughts while the BJP declared to lodge an FIR against him. Reacting to these statements, the PDP instead of rebutting the BJP and VHP targeted the Raj Bhawan.
“For some times now it has been quite evident that some quarters in the Raj Bhawan are promoting the Hundutva agenda in Jammu and Kashmir which we will not allow to happen”, a PDP spokesman said in a statement here today.
The recent anti-PDP outbursts of the BJP and VHP leaders, it is evident that for some time now some persons in the State's Raj Bhawan have been working at the behest of Hindutva forces and are trying to implement a particular agenda in the State. "We will at no cost allow such dangerous designs to take shape in the State that has been an epitome of communal harmony and amity," the spokesman said and added that any move to polarize the situation on communal lines by these elements is fraught with unimaginable dangers.
Condemning the provocative and untenable outbursts of the BJP and VHP leaders, the spokesman said in the past also when the Government tried to check the untenable activities of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), a vicious campaign was instigated by Raj Bhawan through BJP and RSS to incite communal frenzy across the State. "The quarters from where the State's Raj Bhawan has been taking directions all these years have now got exposed, putting a question mark on the credibility of this highest constitutional institution in the State," he said and expressed the hope that the new Governor would fully restore the constitutional sanctity of the Raj Bhawan.
Demanding action against the VHP leaders for openly brandishing weapons at a rally in Jammu yesterday, the spokesman said the Government must initiate action against the elements who resorted to such a brazen disregard for law of the land by openly displaying arms at the rally. "This is an unfortunate trend and such elements must be dealt with as per the law," the spokesman said.
