| BJYM stages protest, threatens to launch stir | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 24 Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged a protest demonstration against the statement of Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffer Hussein Beig's regarding allotment of land to SASB and threatened to launch strike in Jammu if the allotment of land is cancelled. BJYM Mandal president of Janipur Jyoti Dogra under aegis of BJP state general secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas and BJYM district president Pranav Gupta organized the protest. Hundreds of activist of BJYM here on Tuesday gathered at the site of protest and vent their anger by shouting slogans against the Deputy CM for his statement of granting land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board as misleading and baseless. While addressing Protestants on occasion, BJYM district president Pranav Gupta called the deputy CM's statement as provocative incite communal feelings in the state. He also warned that activists of BJYM have sufficient powers to go to any extent for safeguarding the allotment of land to SASM. Threatening to launch a strike in Jammu if the transfer of land is cancelled, he said that the Morcha would also boycott the presence of Muzaffer Hussein Beig in Jammu if he continues such inflammatory statements, he said. He further lambasted coalition government for not meeting with the basic needs of a common as in many parts of Jammu people were facing acute scarcity of water and frequent power cut's during hot season. "Instead of working for the welfare of masses of the state, the parties like PDP and NC are indulging to make division among people", he said. Those taking part in protest included Praduman Singh, Munish Sharma, Rakesh Dogra, Nawab (Rinku), Rakesh Khajuria, Sanjay Khajuria, Naveen Dogra, Narinder Shawney Bala, Rajinder Kumar, Vivek Sharma, Naseeb Mangotra, Ravi Mehra and others. |
