| J&K marching fast towards peace, prosperity: Taj | | Appeals people to be vigilant against nefarious designs | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 24 Minister for CAPD Taj Mohi-ud-Din has said that government has succeeded to push forward the development scenario of the state by initiating revolutionary and exemplary measures for the first time in the history of the state. Addressing a largely public meeting at Alamgang-Haram in Shopian district on Monday, the Minister said that government focused its keen attention towards all round development of those far off and hilly areas which hitherto had been neglected by previous regimes. "The developmental activities launched in these areas under fast track are yielding fruitful results visible for every one", he maintained and said that for socio-economic transformation of ruralaities various welfare schemes have been launched by the State and Central governments. He asked the people to come forward and take full benefits of these schemes. Referring to the unemployment problem in the state, the Minister said that during last 5 years, over one lakh unemployed educated youth have been provided government jobs in civil and police departments and added that government has initiated fast track recruitment policy at district level under which 70,000 unemployed educated youth were being provided government services in various departments. He said that the people of the state have always strengthened the bonds of brotherhood, communal harmony and amity and never allowed anybody to create wedge secular fabric of the state. He called upon the people to be vigilant against nefarious designs of those who by their hollow sloganeering try to use them for their personal interests. He appealed the people to use their franchise for electing honest and dedicated representatives having will to work for the integrity, development and welfare of the state. Minister of State for Education G.M. Saroori, Chairman Handicrafts Development Corporation Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Senior congress leaders Ghulam Mustafa Bhatt, Abdul Majeed Padroo and Ghulam Nabi Moonga also addressed the gathering on the occasion and highlighted the achievements registered by the congress led government during last over two years under all sectors in the state. |
