| 5-day Rafting workshop on Chenab | | | Early Times Reporter

In association with Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, the Extreme Himalayan Adventures (EHA) is organizing first Rafting workshop of Jammu on river Chenab from tomorrow.
The five-day workshop shall start tomorrow at Akhnoor under the guidance of national level Rafting instructor, Riju Raj Singh Jamwal.
To make the selected campers, taking part in the workshop, aware of the basics, an equipment introduction session was arranged at Tourism Reception Centre (TRC), here today.
“In all, a group of 15 male and female students will be introduced and trained in Rafting. The workshop will cover basics of equipment, commands, procedures and safety issues of Rafting,” said Dr Thakur Naveen Kotwal adding that the workshop is aimed to introduce the youth of Jammu to this adventure sport. |
