| HC offers relief to IAS officer against SAC order | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 24 Putting brakes to yet another recommendation of the State Accountability Commission, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court today stayed proceedings against senior IAS office Atul Dullo. In case of a land mutation, the SAC had recommended strict action against Dullo who was then Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and is presently Chairman of the Special Tribunal. Justice Sunil Hali of Jammu wing today in a petition filed by Atul Dullo against recommendation of State Accountability Commission, has issued notice to respondents returnable within two weeks and after hearing Adv PN Raina appearing for the petitioner ordered that meanwhile report of State Accountability Commission so far as it relates to petitioner ( Atul Dullo) shall not be acted upon by the respondents. State Accountability Commission land scam has recommended termination of services of then Tehsildar, then Girdawar, and then Patwari then posted Udhampur and also took serious note on the casual and perfunctory working of Two Deputy Commissioners namely Atul Dullo and Ashok Parmar and recommended action against both the Deputy Commissioners then posted Udhampur. This order was passed by the SAC on May 30, 2008. The petitioner Mr. Atul Dullo filed this petition seeking quashment of the recommendation made by the SAC against him. High Court after considering the case of the petitioner directed respondents that they shall not be acted upon the recommendation of SAC. It is worthwhile to mention here that the then Patwari Saleem Bandey had filed in the state High Court and challenged the recommendation of SAC, the High Court stayed recommendation of SAC.
