Azad’s bold and historical initiatives attract thousands to throng around him since wee hours
7/8/2006 9:11:51 PM
Srinagar, July 08 – There was a continuous flow of thousands of people who were thronging the private office of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here since early this morning. The people from Bandipora, Shopian, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Srinagar, Doda, Budgam and Ramban were raising slogans in favour of Mr. Azad for creating history and fulfilling 30 years aspirations of the people by creating new districts, sub-divisions and tehsils in Jammu and Kashmir.
There was a bee-line of the people who had come to felicitate the Chief Minister continuously for third day today. Mr. Azad met every body and advised all the delegations to concentrate on developmental activities so that a new Jammu and Kashmir is built which will surpass all other states of the country in development and prosperity.
All the delegations and their representatives felicitated the Chief Minister for such a bold decision which was being delayed continuously for decades, adding that within 8 months of his government, Mr. Azad has demonstrated an extra-ordinary courage, vision, determination and statesmanship for taking such a decision which will not only help in solving people’s problems and bring the administration at their doorsteps but also solve the un-employment problem by creation of more and more departments and establishments in new districts, sub-divisions and tehsils.
Other delegations that also called on Mr. Azad to felicitate him included Citizens Forum Rafiabad and Dangiwacha and Congress activists from Baramulla and Srinagar.
Minister for Youth Services and Sports Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and some legislators were also present on the occasion.
