| Defence Ministry conducts month long correspondence course | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 25 The directorate of Public Relations, Ministry of Defence is conducting a month long defence correspondents’ course from September 1 this year. During the training course boarding, lodging, course fee and traveling expenses will be borne by the ministry. The participants will be entitled for reimbursement of their journey fare. The PR wing of the Ministry has said that it would be appreciated if the names of the working journalists, who are interested to join this course, are sponsored by the concerned newspapers. Those nominated should not be of more than 35 years of age and should possess degree in mass communication/ journalism, having three years experience with any reputed newspaper/agency/electronic channel and registered with RNI on regular basis. The women candidates would be encouraged to apply for the course, the defence handout said, adding that the application forms of the aspiring candidates along with personal details may be sent by July 12, 2008. |
