| Several parties support Jammu bandh call | | Condemn eruption of violence on transfer of land to SASB | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 25 Several political parties have expressed deep concern on the controversy being made by the Kashmir based politicians and separatists as also condemned the eruption of violence in different parts of Kashmir Valley against the transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. ABVP while expressing grave concern on the controversy has strongly condemned the stand of the PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig who was himself a party to the decision of transfer of land to the Board. The ABVP has also denounced the slogans being raised by separatist leader Geelani who has lost his footing in Kashmir and has made all Kashmiris to suffer. Taking strong exception of Dr. Farooq’s contradictory statements, the ABVP said that while in Jammu Farooq stood in favour of the SASB, in Kashmir he joined the PDP and the separatists for vote bank politics. The ABVP has supported the Jammu bandh call given by VHP for tomorrow. Jammu State Morcha(Progressive) leaders Prof Virender Gupta and Dig Vijay Singh in a joint statement have strongly condemned the role of PDP and NC in raising communal passion of the people and disturbing the peace of Jammu and Kashmir and said that these parties are hell bent to communally polarize the situation and exploit the same for their political interests . These leaders said that the present happenings are exploitation of Jammu people by the Kashmiri leaders may ignite the sentiments of the Jammuties to ask Kashmiris to vacate territory of Jammu region and called upon the Jammuites to get united as there is no other way of their survival from the exploitation of Kashmiri leaders and their onslaught on culture, language, environment and demography except to struggle for a separate statehood for Jammu. Rajesh Kesari of Shiv Sena United while addressing the media persons has taken strong exception of the intentions of the Kashmiri leaders of creating wedge between the Hindus and the Muslims in the state. Referring to PDP and Hurriyat, he said, that the way in which they obstructed Amarnath yatra at Ganderbal is absolutely wrong and uncalled for. ‘Kashmir is not the property of theirs only’, he said, maintaining that it is an integral part of India and is the sacred land of Rishis and Munies. He said none of the Muslim leader has any authority to address any Hindu religious subject and warned that if such anti national statements are not put to rest, it would affect the Haj yatries in future. |
