| Hindu militants still survive in Rajouri district | | |
RAJOURI
Rajouri police admitted that nearly 40 to 45 local militants left over are operating in the district Rajouri Besides ,huge number of militants either surrendered before the security forces or other wise have been killed during the encounters conducted by them. In this way a reverse counting in the number of militants have been started said police sources
.In the meanwhile there are 8 Hindu militants also , operating in the area for the last 10 years .More surprisingly none of the Hindu militant have surrendered up till now nor any one got killed in any of the encounter in district Rajouri , when scores of other local militants have surrendered and the same number of militants have been killed during the encounters between the militants and the security forces
Twenty (20) % of the total local militants operating in district Rajouri are hailing from Hindu community. Giving detail Dy. SP (Ops) T.R.Katoch told this correspondent that nearly 40 to 45 local militants including 8 Hindu militants left over are operating in the district where as total number of local militants was too high in the past few years said TR Katoch Further more he also informed that more than 90 militants (local and foreigner) have been killed during last two tears for which Katoch has been awarded gallantry award announced on the independence day of 2006 .
Among the Hindu militants Sham Lal alias Shamus Din son of Chat Ram a resident of district Reasi is listing on the top of Hindu militants being chief of the HMPPR outfit . He is chief of Al Bader out fit and is held responsible for killing of a number of civilian and security forces. The others who includes in the list of Hindu militants are Karpal Singh son of Beldev Singh resident of Dalbari Kalakote , Sham Lal son of Munshi Ram resident of daryoti , Sajnay nephew of Sham Lal ,Sat Pal resident of Draj who was working as peon in tehsil Budhal ,Pershotum Lal alias Kaka Khan a resident of Palma Rajouri falling under the jurisdiction of police station Rajouri Krishan Lal a resident of village Daggal Halal falling under the jurisdiction of police station Dharam sal Tehsil Kalakote of district Rajouri and one Gudoo from Nowshara tehsil who has recently joined the group . These 8 militants are working with different out fits like HMPPR , Al Bader , Jesh and Hizbul
These Hindu militants are active mostly in the areas like Narla , Kokecharwal ,Mahore and Prankote Score of FIR for offences they committed are registered in different Police Station like police station Budhal ,Dharm sal ,Rajouri Reasi and other police stations . Krishan Lal joined militancy since Nov 2001 and remained active member of Al Badar outfit headed by Yaldran Bhai the then commander
Sanjay teenager a Hindu militant and his uncle Sham lal Junior of Taryath joined HMPPR outfit during 2k .and remained active in the areas like Prankote , Budhal Mahore said sources .Reliable sources said that Sham Lal junior and his nephew Sanjay are working under Sham Lal alias Shamus Din ,area camander of HMPPR outfit .
