Krishna Ghati Brigade has organized a 16 days education tour to Coimbatore, Wellington, Ooty and Chennai for thirty school children and two teachers from the schools of Mendhar Tehsil. The education tour is in continuation of the Army’s concerted efforts under Operation Sadbhavana.
The tour will give the children of Mendhar Tehsil the opportunity to visit historic and tourist destinations as also educational institutes in and around Madurai, Coimbatore, Wellington, Ooty and Chennai in South India. They will also be visiting Historic and Tourist places like Regimental Centre of The Madras Regiment and Tea Gardens at Wellington, St George Fort, St Thomas Mount, Mahabalipuram and Officers Training Academy at Chennai, Black Thunder Water Park at Coimbatore, Botanical Garden, Boat House and Rose Garden at Ooty, Sime Park, Coonnor, Marina beach, Golden beach and Zoo at Chennai. There would also an interaction at Lawrence Public School, Ooty where these children would have the opportunity to interact with the students and know about their curriculum and other co-curricular activities. |
