Jammu | June 26
Decrying Kashmir based politicians for their stand on transfer of land to SASB, All Party Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) today condemned some political parties and separatists for politicizing a purely religious issue which has hurt sentiments of crores of Hindus in the country, particularly Kashmiri Pandits, aborigines of valley.
Lambasting PDP and separatists in snowballing a purely a religious issue into a major controversy triggering vociferous campaign and propaganda which resulted in violent protests and unfortunate death of three majority community members, APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit today called for end of this political game for vote bank.
Pandit, who visited several places of minorities in Devsar, Kulgam, Anantnag, Mattan, Jeshta Devi and Chandanwari, took up the issue with Deputy Commissioners to strengthen the security around the minority places.
Deputy commissioner Anantnag, Jai Pal Singh, DC's of Budgam and Kulgam besides police officers in Srinagar promised him to strengthening of security around the minority places.
Pandit said that PDP, who are threatened by emergence of Hurriyat conference on the electoral battlefield in Kashmir valley, have created controversy purely on the religious lines to incite Muslims for vote bank politics.
PDP should not create 1989 situation to see Kashmir streets filled with violent and anti-India protests and followed by bloodshed on the pattern of 1989. They are dividing people on religious lines to fill up their vote bank coffers.
