| Sadhbavana Painters Camp commences at JU: | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 26 University of Jammu organized a five days’ Sadhbhavana Painters Camp at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium from today. In the camp 15 alumini of Institutes of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu are participating while three painters are special invitees. Registrar, G.S Sambyal was the special guest on the occasion while Maj. Gen. D.L Choudary, GOC presided over the function. At the outset Choudary, Administrator of the Complex in his welcome address disclosed that Sadhbhavana Painters Camp is dedicated to the victims of recently held terrorist encounter in Samba. The executed paintings will be auctioned after the culmination of the camp for the monetary help of the families of martyrs. Amidst the occasion five personalities got felicitated for their sublime contributions to the field of art were-Ved Bhasin, Chairman Kashmir Times group of publications and Suchismita Journalist received this award on behalf of eminent painters Trilok Koul, noted art historian Dr. Sunil Khosa and Chander Sunder, Photojournalist. Noted painter Vijay Saraf on the occasion threw light upon the art scenario of J&K from beginning to the contemporary time. Maj. Gen. Choudary, son of soil and alumini of the University of Jammu whole heartedly lauded the imitative of artists and said, I salute all the participants’ artists and the organizer. |
