| JU Professor Mishra returns from Mongolia | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 26 Prof R K Mishra of Department of Budhhist Studies, University of Jammu returned after completing his assignment as Visiting Professor of Sanskrit and Buddhist Studies at National University of Mongolia. Prof Mishra was selected for this prestigious assignment by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India under the Cultural Exchange Programme. During his four-month sojourn to Mongolia, Prof Mishra taught Sanskrit, Buddhist Studies and Indian Philosophy at National University of Mongolia. Besides he taught Buddhist Sastras to the Lamas of world famous Gandan Buddhist University in Mongolia. In a letter addressed to Indian Ambassador in Mongolia, the National University of Mongolia adjudged Prof. Mishra as a rare and gifted teacher besides being a profound scholar and desired long academic relationship for their Sanskrit Studies with him. |
