| State Govt promoting separatists’ cause: BJP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 26 In a sharp reaction to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's decision to stop creating facilities for the Amarnath yatris on the 800 kanals of land transferred to the Shrine Board, BJP State President Ashok Khajuria today denounced the Congress and said that it is clear that it is not Azad but the militants and separatists like Geelani, Mufti Mohd. Sayeed and Muzaffar Hussain Beig who are ruling the roost in the state. In a press statement issued here on Thursday, Khajuria said that Azad's 'outrageous decision' without evolving any consensus on the issue has the potential of flairing up the communal tension in valley further which could not only derail the Amarnath Yatra but also endanger the life of yatries. " Decision has only added fuel to the fire and sent a signal across the country that the government of Jammu and Kashmir is only for promoting the cause of communalists and those out to outrage the sentiments of the Hindus across the country," Khajuria said and added that the decision to suspend construction of pre-fabricated structures at Baltal simply means that Azad has made common cause with the PDP and created obstacles in the smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra. He asked the state Governor N.N. Vohra to immediately intervene in the matter and ask the SASB authorities not to suspend construction of pre-fabricated structures at Baltal as it is the duty of the Shrine Board to create facilities for the yatris. |
