| CPI (M) demands repeal of land transfer order | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 27 Jammu and Kashmir government should stop "dilly dallying" to revoke the land transfer order and ensure smooth conduct of the Amarnath yatra to maintain communal harmony, the CPI(M) party said today. "Government is adopting tactics of dilly dallying over the land transfer issue. We have asked the government to immediately rescind the order and ensure the smooth conduct of the Amarnath yatra, so that communal forces do not take undue advantage of the situation and mislead people", State Secretary CPI(M) M Y Tarigami said in a statement. He urged the government to overcome "vacillations" and take a quick decision and revoke the order regarding transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). The current situation has become very serious affecting the economy and day to day life of the masses, the government should therefore act in a responsible manner, he added. |
