| AICTE approval for BGSBU | | | Early Times Reporter Rajouri | June 27 All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has accorded extension of approval to the prestigious MBA and MCA Programmes of the university till year 2010. While conveying this news to the University, the Advisor All India Council for Technical Education, has stated that the extension has been granted because the departments fulfill all norms, standards, procedures and conditions prescribed by AICTE. BGSBU is the first University in the region to earn this recognition. The first academic session of the University started in August 2005. The management and computer sciences programmes of the university stand recognized by AICTE and UGC prior to commencement of first academic session. The University provides state- of -art infrastructure, computer systems & equipments and spacious buildings, 24 hour library and research facilities connected with DELNET and dedicated & competent faculty. Residential nature of the University, right ambience, 24 x 7 Internet facilities, exposure to eminent Guest Faculty and professionally run placement cell have contributed to production of well trained and motivated students who have found placement in prestigious national and multinational companies. In keeping with its roll as a centre for imparting education in technology, the university has started College of Engineering and Technology w.e.f. academic session 2007-2008 which offers BTech in three streams viz. Computer Sciences and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering. Admission process for various courses is already in progress and there is an overwhelming response of aspirants to seek admission in different courses of the university. |
