| JU students hold demonstration in campus | | | Early Times Reporter

The members of Students Socialist Federation (SSF) held a massive protest demonstration against the alleged communal attitude of Dy Chief Minister, Muzzafar Hussain Baig; inside the university of Jammu campus here today and burnt the effigy of the minister.
State secretary SSF, Ram Sharma while addressing the demonstrators said it is a shame on those political leaders who oppose allotment of land to Shrine Amarnath Shrine Board and speak language of separatists. He said one fails to understand why valley people make hue and cry on allotment of land this time, and raised no objection when land was allotted to Haj House, Shadra Sharief and Aquaf trust etc. He also demanded an enquiry be made how thousand kanals of forest land was given to a section at Bathindi, Sidhra and adjoining areas of Jammu region at throw away prices, which totally changed the demographic stature of Jammu region.
Expressing serious concern over the attack on the Amarnath Yatries student leader Udhey Singh Jamwal demanded that army and paramilitary forces should tackle the situation. He also appealed to the general public not to dance on the tune of opportunist political leaders who are communalizing the situation for their vote bank. |
