| Ex-MLA Saif-ud-Din passes away | | |
SRINAGAR, September 01 – Ex-MLA Saif-ud-Din Dar who represented Bijbehara Assembly Constituency in 1972 on Congress ticket passed away yesterday at Nanil-Bijbehara. He was 83.
The deceased leader was very popular among the rural masses and worked for the cooperative movement and rural development and remained Secretary Cooperative Bank for a decade. Thousands of mourners attended his funeral ceremony and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
Rasam-e-Chaharum will be observed on 2nd of September 2006 at his ancestral village at Nanil. |
