| Verma convenes BLOs meeting | | | Early Times Reporter

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sanjeev Verma, who is also the District Election Officer, convened a meeting of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Reasi district.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Bikram Singh Jamwal, Tehsildar HQ and Booth Level Officers from all over Reasi district including Gool participated in the meeting.
During the meeting Verma gave detailed instructions to the BLOs regarding preparation of Elector’s Photo Identity Cards and verification of the deletions and additions properly. He also stressed upon them to complete the job up to July 5 so that the scanning of the Form 00IB and generation of EPICs is completed in time.
The BLOs have also been instructed to collect photographs of residual as well as new electors for which they have been issued Form 00IB with pre printed name of electors with other particulars. These forms would be delivered to the electors for their verification and supply of two colored photographs which would be verified and countersigned by BLO and AERO. Different monitoring agencies like AERO, ERO and DEO would carry out the supervisory check and verify the photos collected or taken by the respective BLOs. The distribution of EPIC to be ensured by or before August 15, 2008, the deadline fixed by the Election Commission of India. Detailed instructions with regard to filling up of Form 00IB were also issued on the spot.
Verma issued necessary instructions to Naib Tehsildar Gool to ask the Namberdars and Chowkidars of all the respective areas to fully cooperate with the BLOs in this behalf. He asked the BLOs to work with sincerity and utmost dedication while preparing the EPICs in time. |
