Dr. Singh has expressed his profound shock and grief over the deaths and injuries of some persons, protesting against the land transfer and also of some tourists in the valley. He said all the places of pilgrims belonging to various communities, have always been the places of respect for all the communities according to the best traditions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Even before the formation of SASB and as a matter of fact even after its formation the arrangements and safety of pilgrims, has remained the function of the government. The usual and safe routeof piligrimage has been via Pahalgam and Chandanwari, a distance of about 46 Km up to Shri Amarnath Shrine-one way, Baltal route, although of short distance is more difficult and risky. It is practically not possible for the board to make arrangements of travel, security, medical, and animal health and all these arrangements are being looked after by the govt. He said SASB was proper facilities to the pilgrims. It was the primary duty of the government to define the people, and added. Unfortunately, cabinet ministers have started falling apart, long after taken a collective decision have been able to solve them so far. Instead of sorting out small genuine differences of the pilgrimage etc, these parties are blowing them out of proportion. Singh has appealed to the people to remain united against all provocations and designs of disruptive forces. |
