| JeM supporter nabbed | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | June 28 Police today clamed to have arrested a Jaish Mohammed supporter and recovered Rs 45 thousand from his possession in Handwara area of Kashmir valley. Sources told KMT that acting on specific information Handawara police laid a Naka at Kulgam adjacent to Jamia Masjid Sharief, Tutigund during which a party on duty observed a movement of person in suspicious conditions. On being challenged by Naka party, he tried to flee from the spot but was chased and overpowered by the police party. During his personal search an amount of rupees forty five thousand of Indian currency was recovered from his possession. On preliminary questioning, the arrestee revealed his identity as Mohd Yousuf Khan, son of Mohd Abdullah, resident of Kulangam, Handwara and confessed that he had received the money from an unidentified militant at village Chack Nutnusa with the direction to handover the same to active foreign militant Samiullah alias Sami Bhai of JeM, active in Sopore area In this connection, case FIR No. 99/08 under section 18- Unlawful Activities Act has been registered in police station Handwara. Further questioning of the subject is going-on to ascertain further clues and nexus. |
