"Running away from a problem will not resolve it and will not bring credit to any political party including the PDP," AICC Media Cell Chairman M Veerappa Moily told reporters in New Delhi. "At the fag end of the term, they should not have withdrawn from the government. The decision on the shrine board was a government decision, a collective decision," he said, adding that withdrawal of support does not augur well for both the parties. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh held consultations on the issue with Home Minister Shivraj Patil. Minister of State in the PMO Prithviraj Chavan, who is also AICC General Secretary Incharge of party affairs in Jammu and Kashmir, was also present. |
