ADC chairs meeting regarding implementation of NSRMP programme

UDHAMPUR, Jan 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh today chaired a meeting with officers of different department for effective implementation of National Seismic Risk Mitigation Programme (NSRMP) in the District.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the objective of this programme is to reduce vulnerability of people and their assets to earth quake disaster by taking appropriate mitigation measures and to strengthen the capacity of national and state entities to effectively plan for and respond to earthquake.
ADC stressed upon the concerned officers to meet the set timeline for effective implementation of the programme across the district. He exhorted upon the officers to provide an exhaustive list of critical buildings and infrastructure as sought by the higher authorities.
The ADC outlined the importance of inter departmental coordination in dealing with any emergency and emphasized the need for the effective implementation during any exigency.
Among others, ASP, Rajinder Katoch, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Choudhary, SDM, Ramnagar Farrukh Qazi, District Information Officer, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, and other district officers of various departments besides representatives were present in the meeting.
