| No threat to my Govt: Azad | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 28 Deeply regretting the action of Peoples Democratic Party and describing it as politically motivated move, the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad claimed late this evening that his government will last full term. Speaking to a television channel after PDP decision to pull out from the government, the Chief Minister said that his priority has always remained development and now it was for the people to decide who cares for them. “Now it is over to the people to identify who suits best to them”, said an optimistic Chief Minister. He said, “I have been Chief Minister here for close to three years and during all this period I never talked about politics and vote…not even a single day. But there are some people (PDP) who talk every day fore votes and nothing else”. Azad added, “my performance and their role is bare before the people and I am sure they will take appropriate decision in identifying the best suited option”. Azad, however, said the PDP's move was more of "politics and less religion" and said "some vested interests were trying to divide the people of the state on religious lines to meet their political ends." "The ownership (of the land) is still with the government because the precondition is that unless the money is deposited (with the forest department) and the money has not been received. Even demarcation has not taken place," Azad said. |
