Police arrests 13 people over militancy cases from four districts in valley

JAMMU, Jan 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested 13 people from various districts of the valley in connection with militancy related cases.
The arrested youth have detained from four districts of Bandipora, Budgam, Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts and are being questioned in connection with different militancy related cases.
As per the official sources six persons were arrested from Hajin after police and army in a joint operation apprehended a Lashkar-e-Taiba top militant Nisar Ahmed Dar from a Srinagar hospital, a couple of days ago.
The accused have been identified as Irfan Rashid Dar, Shabir Ahmed Gojri, Zahoor Ahmed Parray alias Jaana, Shabir Ahmed Wani, Muhammad Ashraf Shah and Sajad Ahmed Dar, all residents of Hajin town of Bandipora.
Out of the six arrested, Zahoor Ahmed Parray alias Jaana was booked under Public Safety Act and has been shifted to Srinagar Central Jail.
In the district of Bandipora, Police Station, Police Station in Argam arrested two persons for questioning in militancy related cases and have identified as Amir Ahmed Bhat and Sameer Ahmed Najar, residents of Chanapora, Bandipora.
In Budgam district, Mudasir Ahmed Khan, Abdul Aziz Khan and Muhammad Arif Mir, all residents of Zagu Khurian Beerwah were arrested by police and are being questioned in Cental Kashmir's Budgam district.
In South Kashmir's Shopian district a Jamat-e-Islami activist whom police identified as Mufti Imran Wani of Chotpora Shopian was detained for questioning in connection with a militancy case lodged last year at Police Station Shopian under unlawful activities Act.
Police in Pulwama arrested an Imam of Jamia Masjid Shabir Ahmed on militancy charges. In the same district Showkat Ahmed Mir, Shabir Ahmed Mir and Javaid Ahmed Sofi were arrested on militancy charges while in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, one Mubarak Ahmed Ganai, a resident of Banimohalla Devsar was detained for questioning in connection with a militancy related case.
