3 day "Science Awareness program" exhibition by SCSWS concludes

JAMMU, Jan 10: Three day "Science Awareness program" exhibition which was organized by the Star Club Social Welfare Society (SCSWS) in collaboration with Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rajouri and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India concluded here today.
The objective of the program was to create interest among the students in the field of science and technology and provide them a platform to showcase their talent. During the event 245 students from 16 schools of District Rajouri participated and displayed their models in the field of science and technology.
CEO Abdulha Khan was chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking said the event will go a long way in motivating the students of the Valley in the field of science and technology.
He said such events provide opportunities to the students to showcase their skills in the field and create interest in them. He stressed the need for organizing more such events across the State for the benefits of students.
Maintaining that there is great worth in the students of Jammu and Kashmir, Khan said that need of the hour was to nurture them appropriately so that they can prove their talent in different fields. He called upon the teachers to change the mindset of the students about the job opportunities and encourage them towards the public sector instead of Government sector where there is limited scope of employment. The Chief Guest evinced keen interest in the projects and interacted with the students sharing their imaginations. The painting competition, essay competition, debate, science play and display of science models and cultural activities by the students were the main attraction of the event. Later prizes were distributed among the students who were adjudged best in various competitions was given by the chief guest. Khan also gave away the mementos to the teachers and other participants.
