| PDP moving fast to recall Mir | | Mir wants Beig to resign on moral grounds | | Srinagar, September 1: PDP is contemplating moves to revoke suspension of estranged party leader Gh Hassan Mir and formalities were discussed during three rounds of meetings which Dilawar Mir, the PDP General Secretary, held with Gh Hassan Mir during past three days in Srinagar. Informed sources while disclosing this to KNS revealed that PDP established contacts with Gh Hassan Mir after Deputy Chief Minister refused to surrender finance portfolio following which he was recalled from the Coalition Government by passing a unanimous resolution during a crucial legislature party meeting on Thursday evening. Mohd Dilawar Mir was, according to sources, deputed on a crisis management mission to meet Gh Hassan Mir twice on Thursday last. Dilawar Mir is understood to have conveyed it to Gh Hassan Mir that party has decided to revoke his suspension and recall him very soon. Gh Hassan Mir, when contacted by KNS confirmed that he held three rounds of meetings with Mohd Dilawar Mir during last two days. When asked to comment on sacking of Muzaffar Hussain Beig as Deputy Chief Minister, Mir said "Muzaffar Hussain Beigh should resign on moral grounds from the position of Deputy Chief Minister. He is duty bound to abide by the party decisions". Denying him the right to continue as Minister for State, Mir said "If Beig Chooses to resign from the party, then he should think over it that whether he is a position to win or not". Advising Beig to adhere to the anti-defection law, the architect of which he is himself, Mir said "MLAs Zahoor Mir and former Minister Sarfaraz Khan participated in PDP legislature party meeting on my directive. My distances with PDP have come to an end. I will meet Party Chief Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and President Mehbooba Mufti very soon. I welcome the decision of legislature party taken on the basis of value based traditions of democracy".
