| PDF backs CM on redistribution of ministerial portfolios | | | Srinagar, September 1: Expressing its satisfaction over the distribution of portfolios among the ministers of Coalition Government, Peoples Democratic Front headed by Transport Minister Hakeem Mohd Yaseen during an emergency meeting advised the PDP to settle internal differences within the party to end ongoing political stalemate in the state. Divulging further details of the meeting Front Chairman Hakeem Mohd Yaseen supported the Chief Minister's decision on re-distribution of portfolios among the ministers of the Congress led Coalition Government. The participants of the meeting, according to Hakeem Mohd Yaseen, stressed PDP leadership to settle internal differences within the party to end the present bitterness with Congress party which heads the Coalition Government in the state. Calling upon all constituent groups of ruling alliance to abide by the decisions of the Chief Ministers, Hakeem said that allowing the differences to continue would have a bearing on the implementation of "Common Minimum Program" of the present Coalition Government. Extending support to war on corruption initiated by Chief Minister, he impressed upon all political groups not to allow the peace process to get derailed. Meanwhile Sources further revealed to KNS that leaders of Peoples Democratic Front held a meeting with CPI (M) Secretary Mohd Yousuf Tarigami during which PDP leadership was urged to settle the present differences brewing within the party to end current political stalemate in the state. |
