| Dirty PDP stands exposed, says Congress | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 29 In first ever statement from the state Congress after Saturday evening’s crisis, the obvious reactionary Abdul Ghani Vakil described the pull out as dirty politics of the Peoples Democratic Party. In a statement issued here, the Social Welfare Minister and Vice President of the State Congress, Vakil said said that the Amarnath land issue has exposed the dual character of the PDP and made public their gimmickry. “They were at one hand relishing the power and the other hand trying to befool public by raising hollow slogans time and again. It is this party which created confusion and tried to mislead the people by making false statements with regard to Amarnath land issue”. Vakil said the pullout from the government on an issue by piloted and proposed by PDP cabinet members Qazi Afzal and Muzaffar H. Baig despite Chief Minister’s returning the case three times, exposed PDP’s dual character and falsehood. Vakil congratulated Chief Minister G. N. Azad for taking the decision that the yatra arrangements would be managed by the government and said that Congress always stood for strengthening the Article 370 which upholds constitution of J&K providing state-subject. He said Congress would never allow grant of even an inch of J&K land to non-state-subject. He appealed to the people to remain calm and not to get carried away by the false propaganda of PDP and its leaders having dual character. |
