Jammu | June 30
Jammu Tigers, Peoples Revolutionary Movement and Jammu Joint Students Federation has warned the ‘minority’ Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir of serious repercussions if Government did not restore the sanctity of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and its powers of conducting the annual pilgrimage.
Addressing the protesting activists of Jammu Tigers, PRM and JJSF who blocked the Tawi Bridge, senior leaders said that Governor Narendra Nath Vohra and chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad have exposed their pro-separatist and pro-Kashmir faces and the Governor’s decision to ‘disband’ Shri Amarnath Shrine Board speaks volumes of his anti-Jammu designs.
They said that Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Ghulam nabi Azad conspired with all the Kashmir based parties including PDP, National Conference, CPI(M) and the separatists to disband SASB which was managing the pilgrimage to the holy shrine.
Jammu Tigers leader Kuljeet said that people of Jammu would not tolerate such communal decisions at the behest of anti-India forces and would continue protest till the decision of the Governor was revoked.
PRP leader Rajinder Jamwal while addressing the protestors said that ‘if the government failed to resolve the matter, people of Jammu would be forced to launch ‘quit Jammu movement’ against Kashmiris. He said that Kashmiris have exposed their naked communal face to the world where they cannot tolerate even the visit of pilgrims to a land which is inhabited by them.
He said that Kashmiris who are earning crores of rupees by the visit of pilgrims and tourists from India have expressed their pan-Islamic agenda to the world.
JJSF president Pushvinder Manhas said that government should reverse its decision of taking over the pilgrimage arrangements otherwise students would also join the protests and whole of state would burn.
Manhas thanked Jammuites for supporting the Jammu bandh call wholeheartedly and asked them to remain united against the evil designs of Kashmiri politicians and their supporters in the Indian establishment.
While Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Assosciation (JURSEA) today to show its anguish shut down Jammu University in protest of the state governments decision to take back the land allotted to Shri Amarnath Borad (SASB).
