| Kon Baney Ga Naya Deputy Chief Minister? | | Post is still vacant: Mehbooba | | Srinagar, September 1: PDP is yet to nominate successor of Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig and none of the PDP ministers attended duty at civil secretariat to register their protest against rejection of portfolio distribution proposal of the party by Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad. Talking to KNS Party President Mehbooba Mufti said that a decision to this affect was taken during legislature party meeting on Thursday evening during which Ab Aziz Zargar was named leader of the legislature party, but no one has been named successor of Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beig. Elaborating she said "Ab Aziz Zargar is not willing to work as Deputy Chief Minister and Party has not decided to thrust the responsibility on him". When asked that whether party plans to install Gh Hassan Mir as Deputy Chief Minister , She said ' the report is baseless and far from truth". Disclosing that party Chief Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had telephonic talks with Congress President Sonia Gandhi twice on Thurday and Friday, Mehbooba said that both the leaders discussed the current political stalemate at length . During the course of telephonic discussions, Sonia Gandhi, according to Mehbooba, assured Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that PDP's proposal of portfolio distribution will be fully implemented . Ruling out any threat to Coalition Government, she said that issue of distribution of portfolios was settled before formation of coalition Government in the year 2002. Meanwhile none of the PDP ministers attended office work at civil secretariat Srinagar to protest the rejection of PDP proposal on portfolio distribution by Chief Minister Gh Nabi Azad and they will continue to do so till the party proposal is implemented.
