JAMMU, Jan 18: Secretary Horticulture, Manzoor Ahmed Lone, today released the annual calendar of the Department here at a simple function.
He also inaugurated renovated office hall in the Directorate of Horticulture.
Director Horticulture, Jammu, R. K. Katoch; Director Agriculture, Jammu, Inder Jeet; Director, Command Area Development, Jammu, Smita Sethi and Dy. Director Horticulture, Jammu, Shafiqa Khalid were also present.
The Secretary Horticulture, after releasing the calendar, emphasized the need for covering more areas with new and improved varieties of fruits. "There is need to introduce best plant material to uplift the socio-economic status of the farming community, besides improving the eco stability' he added. He also impressed upon all the officers of the department to work with zeal, dedication to implement all the schemes on the ground. |
